Gamechanger Challenge finalists announced
The 16 teams selected to compete in the inaugural Game Changer Challenge in Education Week have been announced. Superfast scooters to transport students between classes, time travel excursions to key moments in history, sustainable schools that are self-sufficient in power, water and food and real-time brain scans to track student learning and wellbeing. Bradman go Back to Back in Swimming
A brilliant team performance from Bradman House has seen them claim their second successive Parkview PS Swimming Championship after an outstanding day of competition at the Leeton Pool last Thursday 8 February. Parkview win LNPSSA Cricket Title
Parkview's Representative Cricket team have regained the Terry McGrath Shield after being crowned LNPSSA T20 Cricket Champions after a brilliant day of cricket at the LHS Ovals last Friday 2 February. In the opening game of the day, Parkview won the toss and elected to bat against Narrandera and piled on the runs to score a super competitive 3/109 from their alotted 20 overs. 2018 Resource Allocation Model funding
In October 2017, all NSW public schools will receive a 2018 Planned School Budget Allocation Report. The report will assist with the management of the total budget delivered to schools through the Resource Allocation Model (RAM). The Resource Allocation Model (RAM) methodology distributes funding based on the individual needs of students and schools. This gives schools greater flexibility to make local decisions. NDIS continues its roll out across NSW
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) started in NSW in July 2016, rolling out across half of the state. The rollout for the rest of NSW started on 1 July 2017 and the NDIS will be fully rolled out by mid 2018. The NSW government is writing to the families of children and young people with disability who currently receive disability supports in the rollout areas to advise how and when they will enter the NDIS. NAPLAN Online School readiness test
NSW schools will participate in the NAPLAN Online School Readiness Test from 14 August to 22 September. There is a lot of information for schools, students and parents on the NAPLAN Online transition website. The school readiness test is a ‘practice run' for schools to assess their technology as we prepare to transition to NAPLAN Online. Parkview Claims Southern NSW Girls AFL Paul Kelly Cup Title
Parkview Public School's Girls AFL Team has cut a swathe through some of the finest girls teams in NSW to claim the Southern NSW Paul Kelly Cup Girls AFL Title at Robertson Oval, Wagga Wagga on Friday. Freeman House has recorded an against the odds win to savour at the Parkview Public School Athletics Carnival hosted recently at the LHS Ovals Athletics Facility. Conducted over two days, the event proved to be a historic one, with several long standing records falling thanks to some outstanding performances from various students. Parkview claims LNPSSA Cross Country double for first time since 2001
Parkview PS has capped off a sporting period to remember by winning both the LNPSSA Cross Country Overall Points Score and Handicap trophy! For the students who contributed, it was their second attempt at their respective distances after Monday's Parkview Carnival. Quite a feat! The LNPSSA Carnival was held last Friday at the Leeton No 1 Oval complex in perfect weather conditions. In great Touch! Molly earns Riverina selection!
Molly Gilmour, Madeline Irvin, Tatum Marks, Makayla Bradshaw and Kristen Bradshaw all travelled to Griffith recently to represent the LNPSSA at the Riverina PSSA Girls Touch Football Championships. On a terrific day for Touch Football, the girls acquitted themselves well, winning three of the five games played on the day. Bradman claims break through Cross Country Title!
Bradman House has broken through for a breakthrough win in the Parkview PS Cross Country Carnival was held recently on the grounds of the school and adjoining parkland. Thankfully the weather was far kinder than it was previously (when the carnival was postponed). Parkview's netballers finish third at Riverina Finals Day
Parkview's representative Netball team contested the Riverina Finals of the State Knockout last recently at the Equex Centre in Wagga. The team reached this stage of the competition after winning the LNPSSA Championships at the end of last term.
