Parkview Public School's Term 1 Open Day has been a hailed a huge success, with over 600 community members sharing some wonderful educational experiences during the day.

All classrooms from Kindergarten to Year 6 were open, providing parents and family members with another opportunity to engage in the learning process of their children and reflect upon the achievements of the students already made in the 2014 school year.

There was plenty to see and do for everyone, with interactive maths games, tresure hunts, technological based activities, sporting opportunities, art and craft as well as a delicious family lunch all on offer throughout the classrooms.

Instructional Leader for Literacy and Numeracy Merilyn Blakeman was ecstatic with the attendance for the occasion. "We already have a huge number of parents, who we value, who come into our classrooms on a daily basis to assist, but to be honest, I have been blown away by the attendance of our community today. They really do value their children's education and understand how important it is that they make an investment in the education process."

The Open Day concluded on a massive high for students as they engaged in the first installment of the Thursday Afternoon Interest Groups program.

Images from the day will be on the school's website in coming days.
