The first of Parkview Public Schools Classroom Open Days for 2012 was a huge success with large numbers of community members taking the opportunity to engage in learning and exploring with their children.

It was standing room only in most classrooms as children showed their parents and carers their great work from the 2012 school year and engaged in activities relating to Literacy and Numeracy before indulging in a delicious canteen lunch provided by the school's hard working canteen!

The day was even more special for Parkview's 52 new families and 75 newly enrolled students who participated in an Open Day at Parkview PS for the very first time. Parents and carers are reminded that should they wish to become more involved with their children's learning, they are more than welcome to assist in many ways within the school including reading groups, library administration support, canteen volunteering, coaching of sporting teams or any way they think they could be of assistance.

Community members are always encouraged to speak to their child's teacher or an executive member about this.
