Last updated 3:05 PM on 10 October 2011The 2011 Representative Athletics Squad has been announced. In all, 52 Parkview students will represent our school at the LNPSSA Athletics Carnival to be held Tuesday, August 9.
Students from ages 8 Years and over were eligible for selection in all track and field events contested on the day of the PPS carnival.
In most cases the top four places in track and top two places in field events are granted entry. Please note that in some circumstances, times are used for qualification.
The Parkview Athletics team boasts 3 LNPSSA squad members who represented our district at zone (Riverina) level last year and members from the Junior Girls relay team who also ran at zone level.
Keep an eye on Wade Johnson (6) who broke a 10 year discus record at the PPS carnival. He has spoken of wanting to break the LNPSSA record which has also stood for a considerable time.
Parents and community members are encouraged to come down and cheer on our Parkview students. The carnival will be held at the Leeton High School Ovals and begin at approximately 10am.
Good luck to all students competing on the day!
