Freeman House has started the 2010 sporting year with a bang, recording victory in a keenly contested Parkview Public School Swimming Carnival held at the Leeton Memorial Pool last Friday (Feb 5).

In a thrilling house pointscore competition, the Reds finished marginally ahead of defending champions Thorpe House, with Bradman House a close third.

On a mild and overcast day, all children displayed outstanding conduct and sportsmanship, with many notable performances recorded during the carnival.

Age Champions for the day went to:

Juniors: Josh Lee (Boys) and Emily Russell (Girls)

11 Years: Daniel Riznic, Dallas Pearce, Wade Johnson & Jake Hogan-O'Brien (Boys) and Kayla Mecham (Girls)

Seniors: Tory Amato (Boys) and Samantha Pianca (Girls)

Students who satisfied LNPSSA qualifying times during the day will be notified of their selection in the Parkview PS team to compete at the LNPSSA Carnival to be held at the Leeton Memorial Pool on Tuesday, 16th February.
