Jacob has earned the opportunity to travel to Sydney to compete in the elite state final on the back of excellent performances at school and zone level.

Jacob won the Parkview Spelling Bee and went on to win the Riverina Junior Spelling Bee held in Griffith last term. Jacob in both competitions competed against students in the Stage 2 division (Years 3 & 4).

The final will be held at the Eugene Goossens Hall in the ABC Centre on Wednesday, November 16. The junior final will begin at 9.30am.

Jacob will be supported in Sydney by his family who will also be accompanied by Mr. Irvin. Jacob continues a fine tradition of high results in the Premiers Spelling Bee. In 2010, Chelsea Axtill contested the Junior section at the NSW State Final.

The Parkview community wishes Jacob all the best as he prepares for this momentous occasion!
