The first of many important primary school milestones has been achieved by Parkview's Kindergarten 2015 students as they graduated from their transition program on Wednesday.
Students have been engaged in a 16 week program centred around fundamental learning skills, school readiness and social development ahead of the commencement of the 2015 school year. Wednesday's Graduation Day was the culmination of the program, with parents and family members in the school to share in information sessions, a family lunch and of course the graduation ceremony where children received their Graduation Certificate and their first Parkview PS school hat to complement their fundamental leaning skills bag full of wonderful activities for the children to engage with over the summer break.
Kindergarten teacher Jodie Boardman was extremely happy with the success of the program this year. "The kids are again extremely well prepared for the commencement of the new school year. The extended program really prepares them for school and minimises stress for both children and the parents!"
The students will now take a break from 'big school' before returning for the start of the 2015 School Year on Thursday, 29th January. The school will host Open Days in the January School Holidays on Monday, 19th January and Friday, 23rd January for any parents wishing to enrol students, make purchases from the Uniform Shop, engage in tours or make general enquiries.
