60 new Kindergarten students have enjoyed their first day of 'big school' at Parkview Public School on Friday, attacking their first day with great enthusiasm.
Well prepared after a 17 week transition program that ran from August to December last year, students were welcomed at a brief assembly before making their way to their new classrooms with teachers and parents.
As always, their were mixed emotions for parents as their children made the first step in the significant transition to primary school, but for the children, all took to their new surroundings with ease.
A busy first day for children included reading, writing, art and creative play and students were also well supported their Year 5 & 6 buddies who shared recess, lunch and some playtime with them.
Kindergarten continues for all students from 9am week days with supervision commencing in the playground from 8.30am.
Images from a wonderful first day of Kindergarten 2016 will be available in the Photo Gallery section of our website in coming days.
