The annual Term 1 Open Day at Parkview Public School again proved popular with parents and community members with over 300 parents, carers and family members in the school during the day engaging in classroom experiences with children before sharing a family lunch at the conclusion of activities.
As always, the Kindergarten Rooms were overflowing with interested parents and proud children showing off their new classrooms, while all other classes were also extremely well patronised, with children and adults engaging in a wide range of interactive activities during the Open Day.
Parkview Assistant Principal Anita Moore was thrilled with the response. "It was once again fantastic to see so many parents and carers in the school taking an interest in the education of their children. Teaching and learning is definitely a partnership and children really value the interest shown by parents in their education."
Parkview will host more Open Days later in the year but also encourage parents and carers to be involved with classroom routines in any way they can through reading and maths groups, Discovery Learning, Winhangara Playgroup, sporting teams, music and dance. Please contact your class teacher or the Administration Office for more details.
