Parkview Public School has produced some terrific performances at the annual Tony Lockett Shield/ Paul Kelly Cup Gala Day contested at the Griffith Ex-Serviceman's Oval on Tuesday.

Entering a boys team and two girls teams, Parkview students produced competitive displays in all matches, with the Parkview Panthers girls team ranked the third best team on the day.

Of particular note was the sportsmanship, behaviour and endeavour displayed by all Parkview students, something that has become the hallmark of all representatives of our community.

Tony Lockett Shield (Boys)

Parkview's boys team were very competitive in the NSWPSSA State Knockout section of the day, losing three tightly contested matches.

In the first game against Yenda Public School, the Blues got the jump on Parkview, but after trailing by 24 points at half time, the ‘Green Machine' got rolling thanks to some excellent marking around the ground from Jaykob Williams, some brilliant ball use from Jack Quinlivan and Jai Patten and some efficient forward play by Will Rawle. The extra effort led to a very tightly contested second half and an eventual 27 point defeat.
