Parkview PS Girls Touch Football team have qualified for the Riverina Finals of the competition after being crowned LNPSSA Champions at Narrandera on Monday.

The team remained undefeated during the day, running in 15 tries in two games to progress to the next stage of the Statewide knockout.

In the first game of the day, Parkview faced the combined Small Schools outfit, winning and expansive game 9-4. Tess Staines bagged 5 tries for Parkview and was well supported on the scoreboard by Siarne Deeves who scored a double as well as Gemma Higgins and Carley Graham who scored singles.

The final of the LNPSSA Gala featured Parkview and Leeton PS for the 6th time in a girls sporting final this year. The match was another close encounter played with great sportsmanship from both teams. Parkview led 1-0 at half time and despite the best efforts of a commited Leeton PS outfit, ran in 3 late tries as fatigue became factor to secure a well deserved 5-1 victory and a place in the 3rd round of the state knockout.

There were many impressive performances for Parkview, with Siarne Deeves and Tess Staines both scoring doubles while Annie Samuelu also scored in the victory. Carley Graham and Alanis Wortley were also impressive for victors playing pivotal roles in defence.
