Carley Graham played a starring role throughout the day!

 

Parkview's Girls League Tag team has returned triumphant from the LNPSSA League Tag Gala Day hosted at the LHS Ovals yesterday. The team remained undefeated throughout the day to be crowned LNPSSA Champions after a thrilling grand final victory over cross town rivals Leeton PS.

The opening game of the day saw Parkview overcome a spirited Narrandera outfit to record a 3-0 victory. The team led 2-0 at halfttime thanks to tries from Tess Staines and Carley Graham, before Narrandera lifted their work rate to really pressure Parkview in the second half. Another try to Tess Staines sealed the win.

In the second round, a free flowing affair saw Small Schools and Parkview put on an entertaining 6 try match in which Parkview prevailed 4-2. Tess Staines scored a double for the winners while Gemma Higgins and Carley Graham also scored.

The final against a talented Leeton PS team was a thrilling affair with miserly defence from both teams a feature. Carley Graham scored early before defence took over, Parkview benefitting from some disciplined play from all players. Tess Staines scored the victroy securing try with just seconds remaining in the match to give Parkview a much deserved victory. The victory was the second in three years for Parkview who this year were under the guidance Mr Jackson Goman.
