Ben Schmidt off loads in the LNPSSA Final

Parkview has secured back to back LNPSSA Rugby League titles following a brilliant day of football at the Leeton No. 1 Oval.

Drawn against a tenacious Small Schools outfit on the opening game, Parkview were made to work for their place in the final, Riley Bradshaw scoring early before a conversion from Tyler O'Connell converted to give Parkview an early 6-0 lead. A second try to Bradshaw which was converted by Brandon Crowe gave Parkview some breathing space before a Small Schools try reduced the margin to just 8 during the second half.

Drawing on previous experience, Cody Browne sealed the win for Parkview when he scored in the corner just before full time to secure a 16-4 win.

The final was against a classy Narrandera PS who had won their first round match against Leeton PS in a thrilling golden point decider. Parkview got the jump on their opponents in the first half, a double to Riley Bradshaw seeing Parkview lead 12-0 at the break. Narrandera struck back in the second half to score two unconverted tries inside 5 minutes of the resumption, something that was answered by Bradshaw who completed his hat trick to push the margin back to 8 points with 8 minutes remaining.

Not to be denied, Narrandera attacked again and scored in the corner to close the margin to four points before Bradshaw scored a fourth try for the final in the dying minutes to secure a 20-12 win for Parkview.

Other than Bradshaw, Parkview was very well served by Tyler O'Connell and Brandon Crowe in the halves, whilst Cody Browne, Thomas Heins and Jaxon Ryan all provided great service for the Green Machine.
