The Annual Parkview Spelling Bee will take place on Friday, 19th August.

The Parkview PS Spelling Bee gives all students in Years 3-6 the opportunity to put their spelling knowledge to the ultimate test. The event has been run annually for the past 4 years at out school and is a prelude to the state wide Premiers Spelling Bee.

This year the Parkview Spelling Bee will feature a Stage 2 and Stage 3 final where 8 predetermined contestants will compete in a knockout style spelling competiiton. The final two students will be entered into the Premiers Spelling Bee Regional Final to be held in Griffith later this term.

Current Parkview students who represented our school at last year's regional final are Caleb Watson (4), Jacob Mills (4) and Chelsea Axtill (6).

In exciting news, Stage 1 students will have the opportunity to compete in this years Parkview Spelling Bee. Finalists will compete in a modified version of the Primary Spelling Bee. Winners of the Stage 1 Parkview Spelling Bee will not be eligible to continue to a Regional final.

The Parkview Spelling Bee will be conducted in the school hall and begin at 10.00am. All parents and community members are most welcome to attend!

All students in the primary will be emailed the spelling lists from which competition words will be sourced from.
