Some of our successful athletes from Friday's carnival.

The LNPSSA Athletics Carnival was held last Friday at the LHS Ovals and what an outstanding carnival for Parkview PS it proved to be! Following on from impressive performances at our school based carnival, the 53 strong Parkview team dealt with tricky weather (including a  very strong wind) to produce outstanding results.

Parkview fielded competitors in all track and field events. Our athletes competed against students from other LNPSSA schools who had also earned representation at their respective school carnivals. As always, the competition was fierce, with a high standard established very early on in the day.

At the conclusion of the day the overall points score trophy and handicap trophy were awarded. Parkview again finished 2nd in the overall points score which is a testament to the outstanding efforts of our students across a range of events! Impressively, Parkview narrowly missed out on winning the handicap trophy which is awarded to the school which performs best based on its ratio of students aged 8 years and above. This is the 2nd year in a row which Parkview has achieved this feat and proves we are really on the upward march in Athletics!

Tess Staines (11 Years) and Carley Graham (Senior Girls) were also awarded age championships for their brilliant performances throughout the day. This is an outstanding performance and one the entire Parkview community is proud of.

Congratulations is extended to all of our athletes whose conduct, sportsmanship and application was outstanding throughout the day.
