Riley Bradshaw has returned from the NSWPSSA Australian Football Championships in Nelsons Bay with a silver medal after his Riverina team finished runners-up in the championship. Riverina went through the carnival undefeated until the final where they lost an entertaining match to the Combined Independent Schools.
Following the Grand Final of the event, a 23 player squad was announced to represent NSWPSSA at the School Sport Australia National Championships in Maroochydore in July. Riley was rewarded for an outstanding week of football by being named in this squad following some brilliant performances as a ruckman, defender and midfielder. Among many impressive performances, his 3 goal effort in the state semi final was one of particular note.
Riley becomes the first Parkview student since Ben Dryburgh in 1998 to represent NSW. This is a marvellous achievement and we are all extremely proud of Riley's efforts. Details relating to Riley's experiences at the National Championships will be detailed in Talking Sport early in Term 3.
