Parkview Public School's annual Open Day was another huge success on Friday with hundreds of people in the school engaging in a variety of interactive activities in classrooms, and then sharing a tasty family lunch supplied by the canteen before enjoying an entertaining whole school assembly in the Library.
Classrooms were over flowing with enthusiastic parents and community members who were involved in lessons that ranged from constructing a lava lamp in Kindergarten Chemistry to literacy based craft activities, brain busting problem solving challenges in Maths and popular Interactive Whiteboard based experiences that centred around Literacy, Numeracy and the Connected Outcomes Groups (COGS).
KB and Year 3 then put the exclamation point on a great day with skilled performances in the history making K-6 Assembly. The assembly marked the final time a whole school assembly would be held in the Library, with the Communal Hall due for use on Tuesday, November 2nd. With 250 people crammed into the Library on Friday afternoon, the opening of the new facility cannot come quick enough!
