Parkview Public School has achieved some outstanding results at the 2009 Leeton Show. Under the guidance of Mrs Ro Tarnawsky, who spent many hours compiling the presentation, the school took out the honour of 'Best Primary School Art Display'.
The impressive collection, reflecting a range of art mediums from all classes within the school, was judged the best by Leeton Show Society Stewards on Friday.
In a new initiative by the school, over 120 individual art works were also entered in to the 8 individual sections of the show, with Parkview PS students achieving outstanding success, earning 3 first place awards, 7 second place awards, 4 third place awards and several commendations.
The idea of entering the individual works was the brainchild of school community member and Leeton Show Society Steward Mrs Annmaree Ingram. The concept was an outstanding success and allowed the brilliant artwork presented at 'Parkview In Lights' in May to be presented for the enjoyment of all patrons at this year's show.
Awards will be presented to students at a ceremony at school during the early weeks of Term 4.
