Parkview Public School students Candice Murphy, Jack Quinlivan and Maanu Alexander have acheived a unique treble, all being selected to perform as part of the Riverina School's Choir after being successful at audition in Wagga Wagga recently.
The three students are members of the Parkview School Band, Murphy a lead vocalist in 2011, Alexander a lead vocalist and talented keyboard player while Quinlivan has expanded his repetoire from keyboard to incorporate a vocal role alongside Murphy, Alexander and emerging talent, Emily Jennings this year.
Parkview PS Band Coordinator Tim Hislop was ecstatic when relayed the news on Tuesday that the children had been selected. "It is terrific for the three children specifically and for our school in general that our children can be afforded such accolades. It really is vindication for the extra time and effort that we put in to our performing arts program at Parkview Public School."
Candice, Maanu and Jack are extremely excited at the opportunities that will present themselves as members of the choir, which performed at a range of events in 2012 including the School's Spectacular and the Opening Ceremony of the Sydney Youth Olympics.
