"The most impressive Parkview Easter Hat Parade yet..." is how coordinator Mrs Megan Day has described the 2012 Easter Hat Parade, held on Wednesday amongst the ampitheatre setting of the PPS Wiradjuri Garden.

In excess of 500 students and parents crammed into Parkview Public School, taking advantage of every possible vantage point as students wowed the large crowd with some creative and unique hats. Almost all of the 227 enrolled Parkview students participated in the event, with the young and young at heart putting a lot of work into 2012 hats.

Hat judges Miss Desni White and Mrs Desley Lord somehow narrowed the hats down to two winners per class, however both ladies lamented the fact they didn't have a prize for every student. Sombreros were a popular starting point for hats this year given the warm conditions, while a number eggs style designs were also evident in the parade.

The children were also treated to a surprise visit by the Easter Bunny who entertained the crowd and of course distributed some delicious chocolates to excited on lookers.

All children and parents should be extremely proud of their efforts. To see more of the Eastetr Hat Parade, there are 231 images from the day posted in the albums section of the website.
