Molly Donohoe and Kate Balaz share the spoils of being Senior Girls Age Champion.

The result may have been the same, but the competition was much tighter as Thorpe House secured their 7th consecutive Swimming title at the Parkview Public School Swimming Carnival on Friday.

On a day when participation levels were at an all time high, first Bradman and then Freeman House took turns of holding the carnival lead before some inspired relay performances proved the difference as the blues secured the title by a narrow margin.

Once again, the sportsmanship and application of the students was tremendous with some amazing performances produced on the day. As always it wasn't just about winning, with some inspiring efforts by some students to achieve personal goals like completing 50m of the pool, or conquering the gruelling 4x50m Individual Medley.

The highlight of the competitive side of the day was the four way battle in the 11 Years Girls Age Championship, with Hannah Pianca, Marni Elliott, Zoe Locke and Bree McKellar producing some thrilling match racing through all strokes and distances.

A large crowd was on hand to enjoy the day and as always, the wonderful community support offered ensured the day was a resounding success.
