Racing in the 10 Years Girls 50m Event

Thorpe makes it eight in a row (just!)

Thorpe House has won a thrilling Parkview Swimming Carnival after a brilliant day of competition at the Leeton Pool on Thursday. On a day when participation was at an all time high, performances in the pool were of a high standard with a significant number of personal best times recorded by students.

Bradman House challenged strongly throughout the day, coming within 15 points of taking the title thanks to some outstanding performances in the relays and dominant results in most of the Junior events of the day, however it was Thorpe House who just shaded their opponents thanks in the main part to significant participation and some strong performances in the 11 Years and 12/13 Years age groups.

Other highlights of the day included the outstanding sportsmanship of all competitors, the efforts of the students in both the novelty events and the 25m races as well as the parents dominant victory in the Parents v Staff v Students Relay.

Students who achieved success on the day will represent Parkview at the LNPSSA Swimming Carnival being hosted by Parkview PS at the Leeton Pool on Friday, 19th February.

Thanks is extended to all community members who either assisted with the running of the carnival or came to the event to support out children. It was a memorable day!
