'Parkview In Lights' made a rousing return to the stage at the Leeton High School MPC last Friday night, with a packed house of almost 600 community members wowed by fantastic performances put on by all members of the Parkview PS student body.
Kindergarten stole the show with a cute and colourful rendition of the 70s classic 'Rain drops keep falling on my head', before Year 1/2 and Year 2 combined for an outlandish hoola-hooping, feet stamping version of the 80s favourite 'Agadoo'.
The Parkview PS Choir raised the bar with another brilliant public performance, this time a modern take on the 80s favourite 'True Colours, before Year 3 & Year 4 took the evening into the 90s with a satirical look back on the decade and the characters that make up our school community.
Year 5 & Year 6 then typified the decade known as the noughties (2000's) by sending up a reality TV show with 'Who Wants To Be A Bigillionaire', before the Parkview PS Dance Group and the whole school closed out the evening with a wonderful finale featuring a quartet of dances and an excellent version of the most sung song in PPS history, 'Waltzing Matilda'.
The evening was offset by entertaining audio-visual compliations that took patrons down memory lane through the moments that made the last 40 years of Parkview PS and the world so memorable.
Parkview In Lights will return to the stage next in 2012.
